About me

When I was six years old I saw a Wigeon in a pond near my parents house. this occasion triggered me. I just had discovered that there were more birds in the world than the ones in my garden. From that moment I wanted to know everything bout it!

Around the age of twelve I had the strong wish to make photographs of the animals that I encountered. I wanted to show everybody the beauty of animals and that could only be achieved by making photographs of them. My parents bought me a second hand Practica SLR camera with a Hanimar 500mm mirror lens. A paralel passion was born.

Now, more than 40 years later, the passion and drive is still there. I have organized many photo trips to the most beautiful places on this planet. 

Birds still have my attention, but mammals, and especially primates, are favorite to me now.

I have won several international prizes and my images are published regularly in magazines all over the world
